Warburtons white sandwich rolls, "I can't believe it's not butter" (stupid name, but it's one of the best tasting marge type things I've found), Primula Ham and Cheese spread and Smiths square crisps (whichever flavour you fancy).

Best comfort food/crisp sandwich ever. Off topic, but another decent sandwich is cheese, honey and lettuce.

Tesco Value white bread, Gold marg or real butter, small amount of marmite and ready salted crisps. Plenty in there, and squish it as flat as you possibly can. Like under a bread board, and press down as hard as you can. Laughing Drooling

Bread must be white, soft and FRESH

Butter must be ANCHOR (hellkat being patriotic)

Marmite must be thinly smeared

Crisps must be Ready Salted only ... and packed tightly

One slice of bread per "sandwich", in foldover stylee is best.

And a plate of ten such foldovers will do nicely.

Phillistine! It must be Green to be good. Hellkat is onto the right idea though, fresh Warburtons. mmmm. Abusing it with Marmite though. Yeuch. Lets not go there though, this is a sandwich discussion and not a debate on capital punishment Confused

Finding marmite in a sandwich is like finding a turd in your bed. Sick

Oh my specialty....although I do have many recipes I stick to some rules.

I always say use Hovis for sandwiches and always with butter, using only one slice per sandwich with fold over finish.

Egg, cress and mayo with thick Macoys rib eye steak flavour.

Cured ham and prawn cocktail Walkers

Cured ham and Space raiders

Cheese, pickle and Beef flavour Walkers

Mild cheddar and cheese and onion Square crisps

Turkey and pickle with either roast chicken Walkers or marmite.

Roast chicken and marmite flavour Walkers (optional bacon or stuffing)

And my recent favourite is the flaming hot Monster munch with ham, makes a satisfying crunch.

What a cool thread Wink Thumbs Up
