At 3k, I get a strange burbling coming from the exhaust; the noise is less 'constant' than throughout the rest of the rev range. It happens in every gear.

Carb balancing time? Confused

Any, whether it's full throttle or a little, it makes this noise, and there's a complete flat spot. If the throttle's on all the way, it passes through it quicker, as you'd expect.

Is this just a 3k flat spot on the Cat? Zak, can you enlighten me?

Mines started doing this aswell, 50 with 16mm carb, only when I roll off though, bout 6 and a half k.
