OK, I now have all the details I need to book, so I will get them booked tomorrow.

I will do everything I can to get us on to the same ferry, but I can make no promises - some may have to go out with a different company and we will meet out there.

I will post with info as soon as I have it.

Hi Thumbs Up

Did the ferry bookings go ok? I was also wondering if I have to book myself into the travellodge or if this has already been done.

Yeah, I have 6 bookings for the early crossing - that's for the 6 of us that are confirmed.
I also have 2 rooms booked a the Travel Lodge, they supposedly sleep 3, but it's up to you if you don't want to share with complete strangers Smile
If you want I will book a 3rd, I can cancel any time up untill that morning.

Well it's already guaranteed that one complete stranger is gonna see me in my underkrackers on that first night so why not make that 2 and save a few pennies.

Unless of course Mr and Mrs Hippy want to do, um, stuff in which case an extra room would be good. Wink

We've been married for nearly 12 years - I'm sure we can avoid doing 'stuff' for one night Wink

Hmmm Thinking I'll have a wee think and get back to you about the room. The one in Donington was okayish which I stayed in but you draw the short straw if you get the pull out mattress or sleep on the sofa Sad My pillow also had an odd wiff to it but i won't go there.

Still for the price it wasn't bad.

Hey guys,

So im off Europe tomorrow so I wont be around until the 22nd when I return.

After I get back, or should I say, if I get back, we'll have to sort out the financial aspect and organise some sort of pre-trip get together.

Hi chaps Thumbs Up

Bit of bad news I'm afraid. I found out today at the council where I'm temping that my job will be up at the end of July. As I'm off to Uni at end September this would be a bit of a strain on the finances as its difficult to get temping work this time of year as lots of other students are off and the schools have just about broken up.

Hate to be a f*cking pain in the arse but I'll have to give it a miss now. Wouldn't have been so bad if I had the job but it would really stretch my money if i did the trip.

Sad

righto chaps/chapesses.

I've paid a deposit of £162.61 (229 Euros at the exchange rate at the time).

We have 588 Euros to be paid by end July (which on todays exchange rate is £404.64)

So £162.61 + £404.64 = £567.25.

Divided by 5

Me (Niff5855)
Psychohippy
Mrs Hippy
Feef
Ashmath

= £113.45 each please !!!!!! Thats assuming no-one else pulls out !!!!!!

Dont know how people want to do this? I suggest you all send me a cheque for £113.45, I do, of course have an electronic receipt for the deposit and a statement showing whats still to be paid for those who wish to see them - Entirely understandable so dont be shy.

I'll pm you all my address.

Please bear in mind that I need to receive the cheques by about monday 24th for them to have time to clear so I can pay by credit card on Friday 28th or Monday 31st.

Comments????

By my reckoning, once the villa is sorted - Still to be paid for:

Ferry crossing.
Hotel at Dover. Mr. Green
