Sorry for a morbid thought and post, but have been downloading songs and got onto thinking about the song that I want to be played at my funeral?

On a classical note it would be 'Air on a G string' by Bach (the Hamlets advert song, also in se7en Embarassed ), but am really taken by Johnny Cash and 'Hurt'

Clicky

Whats yours?

Mine would be 'I've Been This Way Before' By Neil Diamond.

Its such a lovely song and it has meaning too.

Couldn't care less what they play TBH, I won't be there to appreciate it anyhow, also, I'm agnostic, so I would find a Church service an insult.

The other thing is that 99% of all the people who would be there are all arseholes and are only making an effort in a futile bid make themselves feel better about my death.

Anything other then a quick cremation and a dumping of my ashes would qualify as little more than a farse.

Burn and forget. Wink

But as an agnostic having a church ceremony would be ideal, you'd finally be able to make a decision on whether you believe in a God or not? Razz

Me, I'm opting for one of those ecological burials, where they bury you under a tree in woodlands. It costs £50 so I doubt there'll be a stereo thrown in for that kind of money!

That recent Editors track "all lights will burn out" would be a good one though...

did this excuse work on the missus when you tried to get a registry office wedding with a party consisting of a few packs of crisps and some beers?

I'd like something really somber but I want it to cut out and go into "Living next door to Alice"

I also want people in fancy dress, but that might be pushing it.

I'd like to be vacuum frozen and detonated to have all my moisture removed so I can fit into a test tube. While they do this, I'd like something like Bang by Eve6 playing Very Happy

Then I'd like my base metals etc etc that are in the test tube buried at sea.

As far as I know, no one has done that yet Wink

I'm not particularly religious in any way but I've asked the wife to play 'Abide with me'

I've experienced Frank Sinatra's 'I did it my way' at a Friends funeral - that was pretty emotional to say the least!
