Killa , i'm sure its not so simple ,as in olden times in England we used to hang people for anything and everything , like pickpockets , which the deterant effect was satirised by a cartoon of the time , where there was a pickpocket being hanged and a pick pocket working the crowd at the time.


Harold , you are right though in that prisons should be tough as fook places , currently its around 30-40K to keep a prisoner in er prison, which is spent on stuff like sky TV etc.

There was something called the good prison guide I read once and maybe we should turn our prisons into places like Singapore where prison is basic v basic such that prisoners don't even have beds.

Or at the very least repeal the repeal of that law that Labour repealed in 1948 about hard labour being manditory in prisons.

With the savings we could up to compo for any wrongful convictions.

They made a big deal about the word 'indefinetley' didn't they. Then the idea of a minimum term of 5 years was brushed over. 5 years? Bloody hell.

Prisons should be absolutley self- financing and should sustain themselves. It's not up to us to keep the fuckers. They should spend at least 6 hours a day on treadmills attached to dynos to produce electricity. They should grow their own food and look after their own livestock. They should have water from a well, which they have to build themselves.

They should be thankful for sleep, let alone having as much smack and playstation as they like.

They should not only be reabilitated, but shudder at thought of going back inside. If they are persistent, let them spend their lives in there. It won't cost us anything ( medicines aside ) and it hopefully means their crim genes won't get passed on.

I have a friend who works in the crown prosecution service, and he says the ones you have to worry about arent the ones that are convicted and given tiny sentences, its the ones we cant get enough evidence on and who are still out there.
