I've been having a saga trying to get hold of a new lid and in doing so experienced both ends of the customer service spectrum.

I originally ordered an Arai from thevisorshop.com and awaited it the next day from their next day delivery service. Did it come? Did it f*ck, so I emailed them.

Gave them a couple of days benefit of the doubt then phoned them. "It's out of stock but we've ordered one and it will be a few days". Ok fair enough, it's £60 off the RRP so I was happy enough to wait. It would have been nice to have had the phone call their website promises when you order an out of stock item, but they are useless wankers so what do you expect.

Anyway, emails ensued - all unanswered. Even everytime I rang them an unhelpful monosyllabic woman would answer who could give me no time frame for delivery, saying it would be with me "soon". So today I told them not to bother and cancelled the order.

There was no way I was going to let a useless bunch of tossers over £400 of my hard earned. I'd would have rather paid the full RRP down my local shop then let those shitbags have it. It wasn't the fact it was out of stock that bothered me it was the dire customer service.

So I looked around on the web for the same lid and went on the Hein Gericke web site. Lo and behold there it was for £100 less then the RRP, which was £40 less then theshittyvisorshop.com. Bear in mind that every other place had the lid at it's full RRP this is a damn good price.

One quick phone call later to Hein Gericke and a chap called Ross had located the lid at their Belfast store and it will be winging it's way to me within 3 working days. Such a painless and simple transaction.

So a big Thumbs Up to Hein Gericke and a nice fat Middle Finger to thevisorshop.com .

Anyway, rant over.

You hope. Laughing Wink

Hein Gericke seem to have a very good reputation. I wish they'd get their arse in gear with the web shop though. Confused

I've always had good experences with HG, staff are realy helpfull and friendly. Local store even organises a track day each year for the regular customers to get together with the staff for a blast.

Always had good experiences with HG except the Luton store. Some of the ppl there give off bad vibes and I generally don't like being in that shop.

Heinz Gherkin FTW. I once spent nearly 2 hours in HG near 5ways in Brum trying on leathers, where most shops will be trying to get you to buy the first thing and out the door ASAP.

They used to offer free coffee too, but seem to have stopped...

i don't like the place either, i went in to the shop in belfast and the bearded fooker at the counter was more than unhelpful. wasn't like it was closing time and he was tryin to get me out of the shop.

prehaps i shouldn't judge the shop on that one particular tosser. but they are quite expensive for stuff

they have been extremely helpful, every time i have been in. prices are normally about average. but due to the extremely helpful attitude my brother and i have handed over about £2000 in the last 2 years. not bad going really for a store out of 2 people.

I did this too, after starting at size 10 (cheeky bloody assistant) and working my way down to the 6, they fitted perfectly but for £300 I didnt think the quality was there compared to nearly new hardly used ones off ebay, plus I dont like the new celtic, much prefer the old tribal design.

get my oil and filters and plugs from there though.

That's because she worked there Wink

I got my lid for £80 less than anywhere else on the web from them aswell, and that was without the discount I used to get.

Only the copper and the paramedic bikers get the free beverages.

You are right though, they are helpful, as long as you get the right sales person. Gav and Loz are OK. They don't hassle you either if your browsing.

They don't rush you in the Bradford store.

I was there for hours trying on gloves and asking questions other day.

Saying that I did ride to the store and was wearing full leathers.

When a local school kid walked in they weren't as helpfull to him.
