bloodey piston rings

just had a new piston kit about a week ago, started fine the first day, ever since then i had problems starting and it was running funny, took the top end of the engine of to day and just noticed that a bit of the ring had broke of on both of them, took the top ring of to examin it more and it was that brittle it broke into several bits
what caurses this?

lack of oiling when fitting them , uncorrect way of fitting or no running in (at least 150 miles)

Maybe some cack-handed twat broke them sliding the barrel on, or forgot that with two-strokes you have to line up the gap in the ring with a peg in the groove on the piston



Just guessing though
