steering damper ?

is it worth getting one for my bike ?
I use it for town riding and the occasional sprint out in the countryside.

way to look at it is if you get tank slappoers when out riding then you need a damper, fi you have no current problems with it then theres no point over than for tarty reasons...

i suspect a steering damper would hurt the handling if you dont need it

Depends on the bike, suspension, where and why you are experiencing slappers. I've got one fitted to the Blade, to begin with as a precautionary measure - now that my confidence has gained to an extent where I'm beginning to play on the bike, thinking of raising the damper a notch or two.

I was wondering the same question. I've dropped the yokes and raised the rear. It makes it a bit twitchy out of corners and knocks a bit left to right but not too bad. Could this get worse?

That'll give quick turn in, but under acceleration, and at high speed you'll feel a bit wobbly. Probably worth investing in a steering damper or a very large box of nappies...
