Well they don't come round often so that mightn't be too bad. I guess your pants get pulled down over parts prices tho.

Often services on Ducatis are less often than similar Japanese bikes (eg, Monster has 6000 mile service intervals compared to about 4000 for the SV650). As to parts prices, Ducati do not seem to have gone into the Japanese scam of pricing parts knowing they have a captive market. Few times I have ordered Ducati parts they have been quite cheap (mind you, Aprilia stuff used to be far cheaper than spares from the Japanese big 4 15 years ago, but now is hideously expensive).

All the best

i dont like how the took out the upper vents on the newer ones, apparently they caused instability at high speed.

Simple market skimming mate.

Not to mention low parts prices are an incentive to buy, now they have performance and prestige they dont need that

When I asked about the service costs, I was told 350 for the first one and 450 for the second. Yet their own website tells a different story.

And out of the lot, the most expensive is......the 749! Seemingly more expensve to service a 749 biposto/s than a 999r.... Thinking

Only 2 required. Quick search finds that plugs for the 748 SPS are hideously expensive, but those for the normal 748 are only about £5.

All the best
