First - onboard footage. The camera didn't manage to last an entire race unfortunately, but here's what we did get from race 1 and race 2.

I was surprised at the comments I heard from some but I suppose some people need to get their kicks out of something in life lol

What you don't see with the vid is G making a complete mess with the gear changing coming out of the corner resulting in me getting much better drive and going for it, after all it is racing Wink

Was a good weekend, got some good results with more silverware Razz

, played it safe on Sunday letting most racers pass but I suppose my very limited tracktime hadn't prepared me for racing as much as I would've liked. Saying that it's still early days for me and look forward to battling it out with the Rookies again as I'm still 2nd in the championship.

I saw the interface of the two bikes, and to my eyes it looked as though jon could see G before the left hander, and all through the left hander. Then Jon overtook on G's right at which point he moved over to position himself for the hairpin, forgetting that G was there.

The rest was a foregone conclusion.

At the very least it was 50 50, G certainly was not 100% at fault.

For the record:
The 'rule' in racing is that it is the perogative of the person trying to overtake to get past safely.

I consider this to be a 'racing incident' - people do make mistakes.
If someone keeps making the same mistake that result in other people crashing then you would expect words to be had, but once or twice and it's accepted as one of those thigns (remember Rossi in his first race last year?)

I came past Jon on the Brakes with a block pass into Devil's Elbow.
From what I remember I did miss a gear coming out of the corner, or maybe was in a gear higher so I didn't get quite the same drive.

However that is irrelevant basically as he was behind me in the corner, so knew I was there. Maybe the issue was that Jon didn't realise I got quite as good drive as I did?
Either way, as can be seen in the video, I was going in a straight line, while Jon clipped the back of my shoulder as he swung over to get a better line in the corner.

As he did not manage to pass me safely (he was still behind at the point he hit me) and I was going straight I would personally consider it his 'fault'.
Doesn't mean it's a bad thing particulary. It's racing, people crash into each other, it happens.
If a rider is changing position, even if not trying to specifically overtake, it is their responsibility to make sure they do it safely.

If I had missed a gear in a straight line with him behind then it would have been slightly more questionable - though still, slipstreaming is not reccomended for this reason.

i would say racing incident. knowones fault in particular. jon was slipstreaming, g missed a gear and jon went up the inside. he isnt gonna go the long way round g for curtesy. then you both hit each other when coming to the position to line yourself up for the corner.
Its racing what do you expect its gonna happen, everyones trying to get past eachother.
