Oil cooler for an XJ600n (98)

My oil cooler is leaking from a hairline fracture on the section where the oil line screws into it (banjo bolt type of thing). We're going to try welding it at the weekend but if it doesn't go well I'll need another option.

Yamaha dealer (Ride-On, Glasgow) quoted me about £220 today. F**k that, nearly passed out from shock, it's a tiny little oil cooler. Anyone know of bikes with a similar cooler or one that could easily be adapted ?

Failing that I am picking up a spare xj next week not sure if it has one on but I look when I get it.

My dad always warned me not to break my oil cooler because it'd be expensive.

I'd try very hard to weld it if I were you, they aint cheap.

You should see the price of the one on my GSXR750RK, a bit more than yopurs.

You will have trouble welding it due to oil impregnation of the Ali. I second the ebay suggestion.

not sure if its any good but it gives sizes and dont look bad. Surely if it fits or you can get it to fit, a cooler is a cooler, anyone?
