Hey there!

Below is a picture of my TL1000R as it currently stands.

I was wondering about having the frame, swing arm, triple clamp and rear sub frame powdercoated black, but I'm not sure if it will be all too black, (baring in mind my colour scheme) therefore I don't want to commit without a sample. Shocked

Can someone have a play and see if they can provide me with a re-hash of this picture with black powdercoated goodies please?

Oh, and if poss (but not that important) it would be nice to get that horrible red car chopped out of the picture! Laughing

Cheers! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Uh, getting from white to black is pretty much impossible... It isn't made easier by the picture. Is there any other colour you would consider?

I'll give the second pic a go...

I can do any colour you want. The only problem is it is rather pointless unless the pic is 800x600 or bigger and of a good resolution. Any changes i make are going to be at a decent resolution compared to the crap resolution of the picture, frankly it looks odd. I'll keep going but the results won't look too hot

That'd be good. When you get a good one e-mail it to me. It needs to be 800x600 at least (1024x678 or larger ideally) and of high pixel count. Try not to make the frame too shiny (an overcast day would be good) as it makes it a pig to photoshop (you get a halo effect of different colours around the lighter parts, so any colour change will look rainbowed).

Gold ish.

It's actually very difficult to make out the rearsets because of the quality of the picture.

Just as a pre-warning, bodged this together quickly before dinner, even through they are rough they give you enough of a clue:

Heres a dodgy grey:

And an even dodgier black:

It's so very difficult to get a good black from a shiny frame, it just doesn't look natural. You lose the reflections and it doesn't look like a solid colour. I could however carbon fibre it if you wanted? The frame that is, it'd look like carbon fibre but it may give you an idea of the darker colour without issues?

Ill be honest,

I dont think it realy matters about it being 100% decent.

I mean at the end of the day i doubt 90% of people who ask for photoshops on this forum actually go ahead with any type of modification like what they asked for.

But - for those who do, even just a quick job like has been done by multiple people on here is more than enough to give a decent impression of what it might look like when finished.

From the jobs that have been thrown out here - you can definately get a decent idea of what something is going to look like.

Not a TL i know, but click on the links to the pics of my SV in my signature below. Should give you an idea of how gloss black goes with a black frame.... well a little anyway.

WOW!!!!!!!!!

Top work folks!

The gold one looks kinda funny, but I like it. Don't think I'd go for it though.

The black side on view looks pretty good, as it's the closest to any black frame I've seen. All the pictures give me a very good idea. Thanks guys!

I'm most certainly going to get it painted black now! I have got two TL1000R's and one set of spare swing arm/frame/subframe, so I have a multitude of choice if I want to swap later! lol

I think this will definatly go ahead, seen as I've got to strip and clean the bike and add some other mods!

Once again, cheers folks!

Personally I think it looks better with the frame standard.
