Hi i have a problem with my 1989 honda nsr 125 i was ridding home from work and every thing was ok at first the the bike seem to have just lost its power and wanted to cut out but keep going as long as the revs were high. so i keeped the revs high just to get me home as i did not have far to go but the bike had no power what so ever. when i got home i turned it off then i turned it back on an started it but it stalled right after starting and now it wont start at all it backfires when u kick start it every time i have checked the air intake and the spark plug but have know idea what it can be pease help

HT Lead.....Check that for kinks/breaks.....Also pull the plug off the end and snip a few MMs off and Screw the plug back on.....Try that.

On the nsr I think the cdi unit for the ignitin is under the rear fairing (l/h side) Have a check of the connections there....also they dont like water AT ALL. if its been damp, spray the lead and plug with water repellant (wd40 type stuff)

i agree with that , but very often it's a loose contact on the connectors , move the wires with you hand and see if the problem remain . if time to time it fires , take off connectors and try to pinch the female terminals in order to kill loose contacts
