Hi there.

Ive recently got my project RS50 running. (Yay! thank god for that! Very Happy )

Ive noticed that the engine doesnt run as smoothly as i expected.

Are all 2 strokes meant to be like this? or is there a way of 'tweaking' the engine to make it 'smoother'?

Bit of a strange question, i know.

What do you mean by smoothness?

If you mean vibration from the engine then the RS is a bit harsh. worth checking that none of the engine mounts have cracked. No balance shaft and solidly mounted engine does make it vibrate a bit.

If you mean a non smooth power develiver, with a sudden kick, then that is part of the fun Wink . But engines in a lower state of tune loose this.

All the best

Keith

ah, ok.

Im just not used to two strokes thats all.

Loving the smell... Very Happy

I just meant the idle speed seems a little all over the place, and the engine sounds like its making a sort of...... thumping noise.

Hi

Not so much 2 stroke engines then (partly the cause though), more being a small engine, little flywheel effect, etc.

All the best
