Hi All

I need some help. I have been stupid enough to buy a bike off e Bay, which was manufactured in China. Its a Quigqi 125CC. I know now how stupid this was and send a warning to everyone else not to make the same mistake as i did.

But the CDI unit has failed and i am unable to source another, calls to the maker in China have come up against a brick wall.

Does anyone know of a company that can copy or another way around my problem either by copying the CDI that i have or can i use another type? I am told that the engine is a copy of the CG125.

Any help would be appreciated as i would love to get my machine on the road for the summer before i PX it for a more popular type, which is what i should have done in the first place.

Regards Gwynfryn.

My home e mail is gwynflyn.skelton@btinternet.com

Hi,

First, are you absolutely sure the CDI is broken, as opposed to it being some other random ignition fault? I'm assuming you get no spark.

You would probably get away with splicing in a CG125 cdi - just a question matching up the right wires! If you can find somebody who understands how they work, it shouldn't be too much trouble.

You could maybe even get a bespoke one programmed up, but I suspect that will triple the value of your quiggi.

Did it look anything like one of these?

I think these were also called Quigqi's, well that's what it said on the handbook of mine! Mine was branded Baimo though. If it is, try J&S. They've places all over the country and could get any parts I asked for.

or is it 2 oval plugs one with 4, 1 with 2
or a wide flat plug with 2 rows of connectors
either way can u use a multi meter or no ayone that does or are u in north east ill sharp sort that little bugger out as its a honda clone engine
