I dropped my laptop off the stool and broke the ac connection inside where the cable was plugged in, I had a quick fiddle and was trying to open the laptop up to see if I could solder the connection but I couldnt open it up enough so I replaced all the screws and now all I got is a white screen - it was working ok before I fiddled with it cos I was able to use it on battery power alone. Anyone have any ideas what I might have done...pls Confused Crying or Very sad

Probably knocked the ribon cable going from the screen to the mobo.

Just pay 50 pounds for accidental damage insurance on your laptop. Most of the time though they'll just give you money as it's not worth the labour Smile.

I may well do that actually, gonna have to check my policy but I am sure it covers accidental damage.

i did exactly that to mine. Had to get a new one. Was told it needed a complete new motherboard.

nocked my laptop off my desk and fcuked the screen and mobo. Insurance company eventually paid out for a new one.

Take it to bits and rebuild it - this will ensure all cables are connected correctly Thumbs Up

Can you get me a Manual for an Acer ferrari 3000 LMI?

I took out all the screws i could find but the bastard still wouldn't let me get to the power supply at the back of it :@
