I took apart my carbs to clean them and noticed that there are 2 different kinds of springs in the carbs (2 higher rate springs and 2 lower rate springs). These were installed in an 'every-other' fashion in the carbs which cant be right. Does anyone know whether the 2 softer springs should go on the outside or the inide? Thanks

Just had a look at the fiche for the 600 GSXR on https://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htm and it shows different springs for the middle two carbs and the outer two.

Doesn't show you how to differentiate between them though Crying or Very sad

and here lies my problem... I did download a 93-95 750 gsxr service book today though and it shows in there that the middle jets are #113.5 and the outer jets are #110. If this is the case then the middle carbs are supposed to have a lower a/f ratio than the outer carbs. Continuing this theme means that the stiffer springs should be in the inside to allow for a richer mixture during part throttle. Does this sound correct? Thanks

It must be a california model because of the different main jets and springs. The non-california models had all the same springs and main jets

That is not a full answer.

USA got an oil cooled bike in 92, the N model unlike most of the rest of the globe that got a water cooled model the WN. These are very different engines.

A california (or Swiss) model should have the fresh air system on it which is how you identify it, the other don't.

So again which model is it?

The tag on the frame has '600W' on it. There is no 'N' anywhere. There is coolant in the radiator. The only reason I know the cali models had the different main jets was because of what the 93-95 750 service manual stated. I'm not sure if this is true for a '92 600 or not. I really dont feel like taking off my carbs again to see...those throttle cables are such a pain. I see no fresh air system you speak of. All I see is a poorly designed airbox.

What you have is a GSXR600WN/P which I'm afraid is a USA only model, basically a sleeved down 750WN/P.

You won't get much help here I'm afraid as these were USA only and this is a UK website. In fact I speialise on GSXR's of this era and in 12 years I've only seen one of them.

I strongly suggest you have a look in the water cooled section of www.gixxer.com as the chaps there should be able to help. Ask Bobbychet as he used to have one until he put an 1100 motor in his.

Sorry couldn't help more.
