I have got an rsx100 and it has just failed it's MOT on the head lamp and rear light being affected when the horn is used, and the indicators also make the rear light flash. You cannot really use more than two things at once (i.e. horn and lights, or indicators and lights) or else everything dims. Does anybody have any ideas what this could be and how to sort it?

Is your battery in good condition and does it do it at all revs?

Yes the battery is brand new, full up and fully charged. The lights go brighter when revved and the indicators actually affects everything even at revs, the horn beeps with the indicators, the back light flashes with the indicators, and the lights dim when the horn is used.

as in sounds if the indicators are used??

Sounds like you have a faulty regulator or a bad earth, I would start with finding all the earth points that are connected to the frame and give them a clean up.

im thinking dodgy earth mate, best off whip the seat and tank off, and go over the frame looking for earth wires take them off one at a time and clean them all up, plus check the rear light wires and indicator wires for splits and melted bits...

best thing after u have cleaned up the earth wires is to spray WD40 on them before you put them back on Smile
