story is that on the A38 derby end(in the car as i have a spazzy arm due to a fall)doing about 80 (its a tarty looking skyline) Very Happy on a dual carriageway a 52 reg r6(in red and white)comes up behind me while im dribbling past a truck,i see him so once i am past the truck i drop back into the left lane.
the r6 then slowly comes along side and makes a coffee bean gesture,he then makes a wave by by and without changing down winds on some gas.
so i press the peddle a bit and stay along side him to about 145 (give or take)and he wont look at me.
so i squirt the car up to 170 ish then drop back to see if he still wants to wave.
hes now doing 90 and wont look either left or right.
i found it funny .
i will gesture people to play if im in the mood but never make the coffee bean gesture unless you have some beans of your own

keep the boost on? do you mean keeping the turbo spun up? I know its a pretty big charger but it still must be active at about 3/4k rpm. Your not going to get very far if you dont run it above 3/4k. Wink

basically its my pet phobia about holding turbo engines at full boost.and its 2 medium sized blowers.
heat biuld up,fuel flow ,ignition issues.
every turbo engine that i have killed, was at medium to high revs but on full boost.

I might have done a different hand gesture. Maybe stuck my little finger out. Not that I'm implying that you are compensating or anything. Wink

why compensating?
its a car because i have a gammy arm and cant ride at the moment.
its tarty because its clean and goes quite well.
its not a bike but will give you a run if you want ,more in the corners than on a bypass but it does try.
let me guess you have a nice bike and a shithole of a car and therefore hate cars.

No I have a normal bike and a normal car.

The remark was tongue-in-cheek, suggesting that people who drive big, flashy cars have a small penis.

Not even sure why an R6 rider would think they had the advantage. Even a Gts with a few hundred thrown at it will match one from a rolling start of 70-80mph.

I think you just wanted to do a bit of willy waving.

if it was willy waving then it would be a gsxr1000 and it would be 30 mph faster and wouldnt be true.
it was all about the gesture and then the timmid response

"people on bikes who make gestures"

That's me that is! Well, it was on Saturday anyway....... Embarassed

WHY don't car drivers use their mirrors? Sad

I'm bowling along the M60 on Saturday at about 4.30, just past Stockport and doing about 65 on the inside lane cos I know my turn-off is coming up soon (I was on my way over to Yorkshire and looking to get to the A628) but I've never been here before. Small bike, not a fast rider at the best of times and definitely not when I'm on the verge of being lost!

So, slip road onto the motorway, Clio coming down it a bit slower than me, indicating right to join the motorway. The middle lane is busy and moving at least 10mph faster than me, my bike doesn't have a huge amount of acceleration so I ease off a bit and gesture him to move out with my left hand. He stays where he is, and gets slower. So I brake gently, and gesture him out again. He continues to indicate, but doesn't move. We are now at the end of the slip road. I think "bollocks" and brake sharply as he finally veers out in front of me at the last moment. We're now doing 35 mph! Bastard! There is now a gap in the middle lane so I drop down a gear, pull out and go past him with left hand firmly raised in a one-fingered salute. My other half who has been behind me for all of this and knows how placid and calm I normally am nearly falls off his bike laughing at me. Embarassed

So yeah. People on bikes who make gestures. Sometimes a good reason for it....... Embarassed

So, you have a claimed 190mph rice-burner so why the F*** are you 'dribbling' past a truck............if you have a gimpy arm that stops you riding ,is it safe to be driving at daft MPH alongside a bike on the A38 ??

Seems the gesture maybe be justified.

No, i don't ride an Arse 6.

What turbo's (or turbo) are you using, and what boost do you run? Also, what model is it, 32, 33, or 34?

Will it really do an actual gps logged 190mph though?

I'm intregued, the speedo must be reading well over 200mph.

Just wondering. My neighbour has a 600+ bhp Skyline and certainly hasn't mentioned it will do 190mph. He said it would only do about 160, but this was before he had the last tuning session.
