Hi,

Im looking for some comfortable trousers for doing a long trip in a couple of weeks (800 miles, long for me at least). I have some leather trousers but after an hour or 2 I start cramping up and get a bad back. Wearing jeans is more comfortable but not the safest of things.

So does anyone know where I can get some good trousers with protection at a reasonable price (upto say £80). Also I could do with some waterproofs to wear incase it rains, which it inevitably will do (the cheaper the better).

Thanks.

you could get some of those kevlar reinforced jeans draggin jeans I think they are called , and a pair of those strap on knee protectors.

However other than goretex nowt seems water proof , I've had lots of stuff claiming to be water proof but I always prove them wrong.

My Tecnik gear is comfortable, waterproof and protective.

I tested the protectiveness bit when I wrote off the ZX9R.

try a camping shop for waterproofs but makesure you buy them bigger so that they fit over your other trousers Thumbs Up they also keep you a bit warmer aswell because they dont let the wind through. they wrap up really small so easily stored in your bag/under your seat although they are a bastard to get over your boots but for a tenner you cant complain Thumbs Up

ebay has loads of second hand stuff

buy 3 pairs for the price of one, and then use whichever works best
