Yep, grey and black, ugliest paint job in the world, 20k on the clock, free. But its sitting at my mums bf's waiting until I have the credentials to my name to ride it. Still gunna get a 125 first, and go seriously fecking easy on it when it swings my way! Thumbs Up

Or should I reconsider this madness of displacement abandon and work my way up, selling the rsv for a smaller bike? I like the idea of that Rolling Eyes

At the moment I ride an scv100. Yes I have a licence, provisional, am 17 at the mo, wanting to buy a geared 125 and do my test in the near future. I am seriously thinking of selling it, the rsv I mean, not really an asset, just a morbid temptation to kill myself with a machine meant for a seasoned rider.

To be honest, RSV's can actually be very tame if you want them to be!

I had a go on my dads and going slow and steady is rather easy on such a big bike.

Shocked You ungrateful little git! I'd be howling at the moon if that happened to me! Wink

Take a look at insurance quotes online, assuming that you'd already passed your test. I guarantee it will be 4 figures, so perhaps you'd be better off selling it and buying a nice 400 or 600. That's if the owner doesn't mind you doing so.

Jammy git! Sad

You should sell it because it will cost you too much to insure and run.
It would be wise to get a couple of years experience on medium sized bikes and in that time it will have depreciated by about a third or more.

Depends what year bike and how old he is? Can't see it being that much if it's say a 1999 model with 20k on the clocks.

But then like said already, maybe better of selling it to get a nice 600.

Either way you are a jammy sod! Razz

FUCK! Beat me to it Wink

ST, I'd keep it. If you can keep yourself under the control and not go trigger throttle happy on it, you won't kill yourself. My mate was 17 and after riding no more than his bro's 80cc crosser he was allowed to ride his dad's ducati ST2 (litre twin) the moment he passed...and he's still alive!

I'm tempted to say keep it, but the Mille can be a bit of a handful and I'm sure the insurance companies would crucify you if you could get a quote. So I'd say sell it and stash the cash away, then buy something you really want.

Doubt the mille will be listed as an ideal novice bike anytime soon Smile especialy the early models. At 17/18 u will be lucky if insurance companies dont just laugh down the phone at you or demand your first born.
Sell it and get something more inkeeping with what your after.

I don't live with the bitch! LOL he's trying to sweeten me up is what I reckon, never really liked him, live with me real dad Mr. Green

It was his old bike, he's moved onto a gsx1300, a busa basically.
So his old rsv was up for grabs.

Don't get me wrong people i'm not in the slightest ungrateful, I'm just calmly considering options. instead of having an uninsured orgasm Thumbs Up
