Anyone got any hints/tips on upgrading carbs on a '94 CBR600F-R (or any other bike for that matter) with a Dynojet Stage 1 kit.
How easy is it? Or should I get it done by a pro?
Cheers Folks! |

The standard suggested settings are normally pretty good. Just fit it yourself and get it on the Dyno so make sure it's running right.
They're pretty easy to fit, Just need to whip the carbs off and replace the bits with DJ bits. ____________________ My bikes are at https://www.bikepics.com/members/dynamight/ |

its dead easy, and you get full instructions with the kit (as much as the diagrams are a bit crap) have you got any other performance parts on the bike (high flow air filter, race pipe/can etc.)? you can probably get your jetting fairly good just playing about with needle positions and jet sizes by trial and error, if you have a bit more cash you could invest in an air/fuel meter like i use which takes away some of the guesswork, and if youre richer than me then you could get your bike set-up on a dyno to make sure its spot on. ____________________ Bluespark Automotive - Diesel Tuning for Performance and Economy |

As far as I know, there is no high flow filter (but I will be getting one) and the can is for road use but when I bought it it had a baffle bolted in, so I took it out.
Haven't really got the money to buy any extra gear or really to get it set up on the dyno. I've got a m8 who used to be a mechanic in BSB so hopefully he can help. My plan is to buy a kit from ebay. I'll get it for about half price.
My bike is an Amarican model so am wondering how much difference in spec there is between this and the uk/euro model as far as the carbs are concerned. |
