cut a long story short - 10 year history with car licence (driving vans for a living) has attacked my licence with a multitude of convictions - all that is left for consideration is a SP30 60 day ban no points and £200 fine and a CD10 - 7 points £700 fine...

i'm getting qoutes and will insure in any event, but - who can i ring to get a competitive quote for convicted driver? new rider. cheers.

They'll all end up going through the same insurer in the end ... best just to ring around!

Sorry, not much help I know ... Barry

I've got a cd30 and 6 points/£450 fine on my licence, dating from Feb '03

I'm insured via Roadsure who beat everyone else I quoted with, and also added riding other bikes, euro cover and euro breakdown.

I also found Roadsue good. My driving convictions didn't make a blind bit of difference with them

You have to disclose convictions to insurers for FIVE years!

They come off licence in 3 or 4 i think

points cme off your licence after three years

you have to disclose previous convictions up to five years.
normally those after the three year period dont affect the premium
