Well, I blew up my RS a couple of weeks ago ( Surprise Suprise.. ) and so I had to buy a new barrell and piston, Instead of getting a 125cc kit again I got a 154cc.

I went out on it today and was just running it in, Didnt go above 6,000 rpm, but then I opened it up and hit 80 in a 30 ( long straight pretty much deserted road so know moaning Smile ) in a very short time, alot quicker than what the 125 barrel would do.

I was hooked, I kept opening it up, but tried to restrain myself but I just had to do it every now and again. IT WAS WICKED!

I pulled a wheelie as well which I didnt mean to do, I dipped the clutch to build up speed as I was doing about 10mph from the lights and sounded like it was gona die ( I normal do this on the 125 barrel but it only pops a lil wheelie ) anyway it flew up well high and I was almost certain I was gona flip it ( Not skilled at wheelies.. )

I spun the rear wheel up on the exit of a roundabout which dosnt normally happen on the 125 as well..

FUCKING AMAZING, I cant see myself getting a bigger bike now, this things fast enough for me.

Almost makes me want to blow up my 125 engine just to get a 150!

How much did it cost altogether to get a 150cc engine?

Erm, it sounds like you may be looking at a 190 bore soon Neutral.

And they wonder why people think RS's are unreliable Razz.

Hi

Have heard that the RS big bore kits tend to be a bit unreliable. From memory the issue is heat build up around the exhaust port.

All the best

Keith

Lol, cheers for the heads up kickstart, and I only reved it out once or twice... just clearing the engine out thats all Rolling Eyes

I havnt upgraded the crank but the matey said it wouldnt need it.. I have rejetted it and got it running like a dream.

I dont care if this thing needs a rebuild every month its well worth it. It pops in first gear ( not just pops, it could actually flip if u dont left of the throttle ) in first gear and easily wheelies in 2nd with a blip of the clutch ( If ur wondering, I have run it in now, done over 6 hours and thats well enough )

Kickstart, do you or anyone else know if you can some how feel the exhaust port getting over hot, I mean will you feel the engine tighten up or somthing?

Cheers.

Oh and Benny boy, GET A 150 NOW!!! youll love it.

Hi

Not sure in detail. Prox on the 125 forum (he runs PJ Engineering) is probably the person to ask.

All the best

Oh, I think he was the one who advised me not to get it Embarassed Oh well you only live once.

Just cant imagine what its like to ride a big bike, I mean I surpose the power isnt as violent as the RS but its ALOT more powerful... amazing.

Hi

The RS has quite a smooth mild power delivery. If you want a wild power delivery try a tuned old non powervalves 250 2 stroke.

All the best

Lol, wow, them things must be just crazey!

Also aparntly a JL racing exhaust is good for keeping the exhaust port cool as it gets rid of the gases a bit quicker.... even lough I thought racing exhausts just had differnt pulse settings on 2 strokes...

Also I think my main problem will be the 2 ports on the actuall piston, there pretty big and im gessing this will make it weaker.

Only one way to find out, cheers for the help mate.

Hi

Doubt the exhaust will make a difference in that way. Would hope the piston is designed to be no weaker despite the ports in it.

All the best

My NSR150 was great fun too, i cud pull power wheelies in 1st with a tug on the handle bars, maybe coz the things so dam light!
and that engine produces alot of power for such a lil bike
