PostPosted: 18:45 - 09 May 2006    Post subject: My Bandit Reply with quote

Just thought i would show off my new bits on my bike, have put on renthals, jack up kit, grips, belly pan, and rear hugger, anyone have any comments?

Also I am having a bit of difficulty keeping the wheels looking nice, so I am thinking i may get them done another colour or get them chromed properly so as the dirt would wash off easier, anybody have any ideas?

Im thinking i might get the rear swing arm powder coated black as my next little project. Is this hard to do?

Thanks

Jon

Looking good - like the high level, not so sure on the seat.

I'd polish up the wheels to as best as I can get them, then cover with a quick coat of laquer for easy cleaning.

Congratulations on buying every bandit accessory I've avoided like the plague.

There's far too much worthless tat around for Bandits. It doesn't look tacky yet, but make sure you don't buy an undertray or I will confiscate your keys.

Only proper add-on I've bought is a set of R&Gs Thumbs Up

Looks pretty good though, are you a shortarse judging by the seat?

No im not a shortarse, just under 6ft. A lot more comfy than the old seat, and its so i can take my girlfriends pillion else i would have gone for a solo seat.

Im trying to avoid the tacky area as much as possible by looking at as many pictures as possible for each modification. Any one gave any suggestions to this effect?

Thanks for your input,

Jon

Everyone who owns a bandit feels the need to stick a cheap crappy undertray on to look 'different'..

It just looks cheap, and crap.

This bandit looks ok still, but is close to going down the realms of polished "bandit" reservoir caps and stainless steel frame inserts.

yes and no.

most bandits on the whole are done very tastelessly.

however, this looks crap? just a standard undertray.

But then that's not an undertray is it. That's a tail tidy type ordeal.

I realise that's an SRAD, but that's the kinda thing I mean, with stupid rear lights, and just looks tacky and shit.

oh yeah, sorry totally agree.

Dunno, mine was marketed as an undertray, had to remove the old one. I suppose those are undertrays with integral lights.
