Hello all,

Im getting my new motorbike today, Honda CBR125 (2006 Respol) and im really looking forward to it, because for the last year ive been driving a Gilera DNA 125 and have had alot of trouble with it and am also bored of automatic.

Anyway i was just wondering, i was looking about and the BHP for the CBR is 13bhp, Correct? But what i was wondering was, is that 13bhp Unrestricted or is it more powerfull once it has been de-restricted, because i cant seem to find the info.

The CBR is not restricted, so you can not derestrict it.

Don't know how quick a DNA is, but wouldn't have thought it would be massively quicker.

Have you tried searching on here? The number of threads about it must be way into the double figures now.

Well the DNA is quick, but i was looking a little more that pull and go. I have ridden the DNA for a year and therefore have one year left of my 2 year CBT cover, i hope to master gears in the last year, and when it comes to renewing my cbt i cantake my test and take the L plates of my CBR. And anyway the DNA isnt reliable at best, its hard to get parts and i had alsorts of problems at the worst times.

I presume you've got money to spare or at least did have.
Personally I would look at getting your test done fairly soon, even if you plan to keep the CBR for a while after that.
If nothing else it will mean cheaper insurance when you do want to get a bigger bike.
