Speaking of Ducatis can anyone tell me the film:

It stars Laurence Fishburne or Denzel Washington (i think) and there were Ducati bikes in it. One of the guys notices that it has Ducati 966 instead of 916 on the side so he opens up the bike and finds..something or other. Then the 2 race of on their Ducatis while being chased by a limo.

I caught this film halfway through so i dunno what it was about Confused

Fled?

Jack

EDIT: should have read to the end of the thread...

i think it looks AWESOME,mixing old with new
i'm a fan of all dukes though, ducati's have a certain charm imo...
newer ones are a little bland though and could do with race paint jobs to liven them up a bit,i can even get along with 'those' lights, like marmite, you either love them or hate them

ducati monster sales are thriving but supersport sales have gone downhill since the launch of the749 & 999 simply because people can't decide whether they like the front end styling and after making such sexy bikes as the old 748s etc they had a fair task in designing predicessors

if these pix in mcn are real i think ducati are onto a winner and sales will soar through the roof,i'd forget about servicing costs just to own something so damn hot

i love these to Drooling

Looks like crap in my humble opinion. I prefer looks based on functionality not as a styling excercise. Probably just me.

The old dukes are truely beautiful machines, but i think going back to them would be a mistake and entrench the image even further. just because the 999 is uglyer than a babboons arse doesnt mean bunging 'one of them old fairings out the back of the factory stock pile' on it is going to work for the company long term. the old image can inspire a new one, but make it the same? its a cop out in my opinion and im disapointed Sad
