Welcome! I've seen a few of those Panthers on ebay at a very reasonable price, what do you think to yours?

aye ive saw them on ebay from 5 to 700 quid, i paid £1400 on the road but ill get back £1000 on trade in to same seller! if you go for the 500 jobs you get the bike delivered in bits, no warranty etc, i suppose its worth it if you know what your doing but anything goes wrong with mine its sorted right away the guy i bought from is a biker not just a business man! plus as i said i get £1000 back if i use him on my upgrade.

i dont know that much about bikes tbh but this runs well, 60mph max with a smaller than standard sprocket and if i mod the exhaust it will go faster. really comfy, quick to 60 and feels really safe, only probs i had was the battery dying too quick, regulator needs the engine running about 20 mins to tick over on its own and took the immobilizer and alarm off cos with the battery dying all the time i had to reset immobilizer by disconnecting the battery which was a pain as the side panel has to come off, other than that im a happy chappy!

cheers

Steve

A mate at work was looking at them on ebay and asked me what i thought and i've never seen one before, but looking at what you get for the price, i can't see a problem with them.

Hes been riding a Piaggio Vespa 125GT Gran Turismo for 18 months and wants to move onto a greared bike for a bit. So hes looking for a cheap bike to buy, i reckon he can get £1000 for his Vespa, which should give him enough to buy the same as what you've got.

From what you've said it sounds fast enough for him, but more importantly you say it feels safe, would you say its a good first geared bike for a learner?

aye m8 for def! its a great 1st bike, would even consider keeping it for fun runs or off road use if i had the room and ready cash! the gear leaver is a bit further away than the road bikes the learner centres use which i found a problem on my 1st lesson, also light and really comfy and bouncy as the suspension is great, you can also modify them with smaller sprockets and do something to the exhaust to make them faster! hope this makes sence im half pissed.
