hi ladies n gents

i have some kind of virus on my PC that has infected all my EXE files. its really annoying as i cannot now run my anti-virus to at least quarantine it. has anybody had such problems before and more importantly does anybody know how to get rid?

2 things springing to my mind here, mind i've been drinking,


1, online antivirus scanner
2, hook harddrive into another pc as slave and scan the harddrive from there

Pah, backup needed files and reinstall... so much less effort, after that just quit looking at porn and a virus scanner will become unnessacery.

You could do with knowing what virus you have for a start. And chances are theres a way to get rid of it via the symantec site. And if there isnt just re-format. Thumbs Up Mr. Green https://www.symantec.com/en/hk/index.jsp

im pretty sure its the SIRCAM virus but since i cannot run my antivirus i dont know for sure! i have checked the symantec web page and sure enough they have a removal tool but yer u guessed it. its in EXE format so i cannot run it ha ha! i think they only resolution is an external scan and sort it though that way!

Download the exe removal tool, Reboot in safe mode (keep whacking F8 when your computer first comes on) and select safe mode.

Then run the exe to remove the virus
