I have just found this website, I doubt it's gone unseen across the board here and probably loads of you know about it/take part in it but I thought it was quite good and want to share it with those who may not have seen it.
The thing I found is the 'Lockit2me' scheme where when those times you are in town or going to work and want to find somewhere to park your bike so it can't be taken away by two meatheads some scaffold and a transit. Usually if you can't find somewhere to park the bike, you might just put a chain through the wheel and hope that it won't get lifted away. But with this, you put a sticker on your bike that lets other riders know that they can lock their bike to your bike's lock, so that it's like a daisy chain and the meatheads won't be able to lift them away. Then you can unlock and ride away at any time. Though when you ride away you are potentially leaving someone else's bike unlocked
The website is https://www.lock2lock.co.uk/ , and I think it is a really really good idea, and will probably join up at one point for the stickers, if it helps my and someone elses bike stay safe I don't see why not.

That's a cool idea
Although I could see a noob putting his lock through 2 opposite links of your chain, meaning you're still locked to his bike when you take yours off |

I think I'd use a disc lock to be on the safe side.
Plus if they have a van chances are they have good bolt cutters too. ____________________ Northern Irish? www.nibikers.com |

that was in TWO 2 years ago , seems a good idea but some prat will probably lock his lock to your frame and you'll be buggerd till he gets back ,
Or he'll just look for the cheapest lock in the daisy chain and crop that leaving one side unlocked and vulnerable ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die.
