I expect the money will be rejected and will come up as an unpaid direct debit on your account. FYI this seriously damages your credit rating, as I found when I tried to get an overdraft with my current bank.
If there's no money in your account and none in the backup source (bank account) it will be taken back, the seller won't get their money unless you send it again. I once didn't realise this and got a load of DVDRs for free, they never chased it up. |

When you send money, Your sending it to paypal then they send it to the seller. When you pay for something paypal basically checks to see if you have enough in your account, if you do, then paypal sends their own money to the SELLER, as it takes a while (up to 9 days) for the money to come out of your account. You can go in the red with paypal as i done with £40 one time, by accident of course
I thought i'd ignore the emails "just to see what happened" and I got letters in the post threatening legal action if I did not pay within 90 days. I bought a new case for my computer and had it for around 3 months before I paid anything, which was nice.
BUT! I noticed that ebay are now doing a "buy it now, pay later" thing. Alough ive only seen that on american items |
