Ours - Sadie (the big one), Molly (brown ears) and Lucy (black bits).

Sadie is mine, and Lucy and Molly belong to my Sprog's fiance.

Hi Nb
Stanley's managed to damage his penis, possibly thru humping a cushion while we were away on holiday. We noticed the tip of his willy had what looked like a growth on it, so we took him to the vet.
The vet gave us the diagnosis and said keep an eye on it. Next thing we know it starts bleeding quite heavily so we panic and call the vet who says not to worry, it'll be ok Confused . Over night, more loss of blood, take him back to the vet where he proceeds to bleed all over the floor. Vet realises there is a problem, sedates him and attempts to cauterise the wound. Take him home again, bit of bleeding but nothing too serious. This morning, more blood but the vet said it heal etc. Go out on the bike, get a call from home, Stan is bleeding again but now its squirting out from an artery(WTF?). Back to a different vet ( Sunday, emergency), who's never seen anything like it. By this time the dog is aneamic thru loss of blood and very weak. So dont really know what the problem is, could be, prolapsed uretha, varicose vein or god knows what else.
End result is, he may have to have the end of his knob cut off and restructured Sick . Bet you wish you hadn't asked! He's only 10 months old FFS. Cute Staff you've got there.
Mike

Had one many years ago as a child. They are quite bonkers, aren't they!

Funnily enough, my Akita, who is a most well-mannered dog, will put up with the bonkers behaviour of staffies and springers, but not labradors or retrievers. Puppies of any sort can do no wrong as far as Sadie is concerned, and I think that the fact that staffies and springers never grow up may be the factor.

The last dog my family had was a red setter called "kate", it die about 10 years ago.

was a very intelligent and soppy dog that we got as a puppy along with a black and white kitten called whiskey both lived up to around 18 years old which is quite good for cats/dogs.
