my discharge (honourable ) from the Royal Navy was finalised today, the 8th May. After 6 months of hard pushing, and quite a few years of being generally unhappy with the situation. I left RAF Wittering for the final time this afternoon quite a feeling

Won't bore everyone with the details, but the past year in the Navy has not been a good one for me, felt more and more alienated with the whole thing, the lifestyle just doesnt sit well with me, and I was never able to quite fit in as everyone else seemed to. In the end I stopped trying, guess you just need to accept that the armed forces arent for everyone.

Don't regret the past three and a bit years, as that is a long time to be regretting stuff. Feel i've grown up a hell of a lot. Had some very good and unique experiences, built some confidence, saw a bit of the world, learnt a lot about myself, and ultimately what I want/dont want to do with my life.
