Anyone know where to get one online?

Found a Givi rack and box for my CG125 for £40 on eBay... Is this a good deal?

Thanks,

Toby

You're never going to save up for your DAS at this rate Toby.

Stop buying things for the cg that is doesn't need, do basic servicing and maintenance to keep it running and stash the rest of your money away to buy its replacement with.

do yer want me fairing which came off me NTV? , its a bastardly huge red thing with twinlights that from the front makes it look like that cop bike the T1000 rides in terminator 2 , flush indies and is a full fairing which goes all the way underneath the belly.

problems though

....

It weighs about 25 kilos (on an NTV this isn't so bad but on a CG will kick the ass of fuel consumption) , it also tends to bottom out your front forks.

Its verry rotten

Its so friggin big my top speed fell from 115mph to just under 90.

people will see you ride your CG thinking its a pan or something , then walk round and see its a tiny CG.

Sounds OK. Givi racks new generally cost around £50-80 depending on the bike. Boxes are variable - Givi monolock boxes cost £50-£100, Givi monokey boxes cost £100-£200. Monolock boxes aren't as sturdy, have a smaller weight limit (though the capacity is similar) and are generally for scooters and small bikes. Monokey boxes are for bigger bikes.

Yes its a good deal, as i have seen the box in question, however.

Im with bendy, you cant be on a CG all your life...

Each time you feel like you want to spend £10+ on yoru bike on things other than essentials (oil, petrol etc...), dont. Put it in a penny jar and check it at the end of each month.

Before long you'll have enough for your DAS!, and knowing you, you'll have probably saved up enough to buy a whole new bloody bike Wink

Aye, that's probably a good idea.

Bought some GPS oil too which was quite expensive :S

Mind you, oil changes are essential Razz

a mechanic charges £40 an hour so a better use of £40 wd be for him to have a look and sort out your lean burn situation in an hour

£40? a local mechanic I know charges £20 , but hes a bit sloppy , ie if you go get your brake pads changed he'll take out the pad pin plug
change the pad , and give you back the pad pin plug back in a bag , since he can't be arsed to put it back in and its such a silly thing to do he won't do it.

you have to ask for the bits back too sometimes.

thing is he agrees a price first then takes all day about it ,

Wouldn't bother - I had a Givi rack and top box for all of a month or so on my Bandit 400. Ruined the handling as there was too much weight passed the rear wheel. Terrible in winds as well. Can only imagine what it'd be like on a bike weighing 70kgs or so less.

Forgot to say earlier, best prices I found were at

https://www.1stlinemotorcycles.co.uk/framemain.htm

My E52N arrived this evening.

Now just waiting for my SW-Motech rack Givi adapter plate to arrive (Motohaus sent me the wrong one). I prefer the SW-Motech rack to the Givi one.
