The bike starts when i kick start it, the lights work once its running and speedo works but the heads up display, indicators and break light dont turn on. also changed the battery for a newish one and when i turned it on the heads up display worked but as soon as i had been riding for 5 min it stoped. please help. i thort there might be a fuse or sumit like that busted.

Could it be a fucked alternator? I dont really no but thats the only thing I could think off...

Find the earth connector Thumbs Up if that's fucked, the electrics do all kinds of things.

there's a nice process for electrical fault finding:

Arrow fuses
Arrow earth
Arrow relays
Arrow connectors

Get a haynes manual, and look at the wiring diagram.

Might be worthwhile PMing Jonnay, he had a Jog which is basically the same machine.

I had this happen when i had a yamaha ped, check your main fuse, it should be on top of your battery in a little case. Also check your battery leads are tight. Your alternator (or whatever alternative source of electrical power generation) cant be fucked otherwise you would have no power for lights, spark, display etc. Its not really a great idea to ride around without the battery in circuit as the battery acts as a large capacitor soaking up all the pikes in your ignition system.
