Electric start problem,

My malaguti ( 50cc ) refuses to start using electric start unless its cold, i thought they were easier to start when warm, well any way its once in a blue moon it will actually start but with the kick start it fires first time, does anyone know what could be causing this ?

thats what is strange i ride my bike for about 40 miles every day, the battery is charging, think it has worn out Mad

Try a new battery, not that much and you never know Smile

As much as its not much help, generally most starters on scooters are absolute piles of wank. I had a yamaha 50 a few years ago, and despite having a brand new decent battery it still refused to start reliably off the electric. You can try taking the motor off and cleaning it with wd40, that certainly helped my scoot, but it still didnt start easily off the electric start. Peugeot starters are generally better as far as im aware. My best advice would be to put up with kicking it over when its hot until you can buy a bigger bike. How long have you got before youre 17?
