OI! YOU! Motorcycle Boot Manufacturers. Get a grip and sort out some footwear that'll give me some stability when walking.

I realise that bikers need a bit of movement on the footrests so manufacturing footwear with hiking boot properties is out of the question. BUT, if I wanted to slide about on wet paving slabs like Robin pissin' Cousins I'd have bought a pair of soddin' Ice Skates.

Come on Sidi, Alpinestars, et al - get a grip and use some grip. I'm friggin' fed up with looking like bambi on ice when I park the bike up on the paved area at my work and try to walk the 10 yards to the entrance - This morning the slabs were greasy and my balance was that unstable I just decided to wait til someone walked passed and asked them to give me a push in the general direction of the front door.

Unfortunately the OAP lost her bearings and I ended up having a head on with a hanging basket.

Bastards.

I suggest your employer / local authority jet blasts the paving to remove the moss before they have an insurance claim. Very Happy

I use no shiny bits and no frills BMW boots - warm, comfy, water tight, solid and plenty of grip.

I was thinking this the other day,

look like a right tit slipping everywhere when walking around
my sidi rain evo's offer zero grip on bricks, shiny surfaces and manholes if they are slightly damp/oily.

bit crap really when you think about it.

I dropped my varadero because of em,
put my foot on floor and away it went Rolling Eyes

Also why don't the soles surl up and round at the front like on trainers? would stop them coming away from the bottom of the boot.

In the mean time pop down to the local cobblers and get then to stick a grippy sole on for you
