The can is seriously loud and about 200mm long it does have a removeable baffle, but to be totally honest it makes no discernible difference wether its fitted or not. I'll have to get a video with good sound quality

DUDE GREAT!

I see you have the H version! Its so much better than the L for several reasons in my opinion:

1) dual headlights look the sex
2) its only about an inch shorter than the zxr750
3) R1 riders will ask, after you kill them in the twisties "thats a nice 750 is it tuned" to which you say "naaa its a 400" and whatch the smiles disappear!
4) The pannels round the dash have a nice firm fit, something the L seems to be a little dubious with
5) Goto a track day, the ZXR is a very popular bike, many more of them than the FZR's and CBR's!
6) prolly some other reason ive forgotten!
7) Dual tail lights at the back, duke style!

R1's dont weight much more than a 400. They have more than twice the power. In theory the R1 should piss on a 400?

the whole 400s are quicker in twisties is very out of date now, a modern bike from about 2000 onward will kill any 400 on everything.
its all about rider input and the fact most 17 year olds think they are rossi and have no fear might be the fact the 30 something guy on the 8 grand R1 is alot slower.
