Slightly more conventional but a really nice piece of engineering. Shame about the price and the chassis they have chosen to put it in.

Having once been in the RC helicopter scene I knew about RCV rotary engines. They were an entirely new form of rotary engine not at all similar to the familiar wankel style now used by mazda. The general idea is that RCV have the cylinder rotating around the pistion. For model aircraft they had one design that is tube shaped with the cylinder actually doubling up as the crankshaft. Ideal for fitting into sleek cowlings without having pistions sticking out of the side in the air spoiling the lines.
