1996, 18,000 miles, FSH, all the documentation (including original owners manual in perfect condition), acerbis hand guards, bar defenders, bars and frame guards, never been dropped, beautiful cosmetic and mechanical condition, new pads and discs, stainless hoses etc.

I'm stoked, paying £1400, know I could get one cheaper, but it wouldn't be as nice.

That's a cool bike. Bet you are going to be having fun, never ridden one but from the 400 I bet it has lots of torque and is going to be a total wheelie beast, good for offroading too, which to me is like having two bikes in one.

Get bored on the road? Take a detour through a field. Thumbs Up Cool Laughing

'Twas love at first site. I woke up at 7 for school, got home at 12, saw the bike on e-bay at 12:30, rang the bloke and went to see it (involving 4 ferry journeys) and put a £200 deposit down at about 4 o'clock! What a day Shocked

Pointless, I'm riding this like this for 2 years, until my 33BHP restriction is up, then I'll plump for a DRZ-400 supermoto I reckon.

Well it doesn't really require much work, a set of spokeys with tyres on ebay for a few hundred, bolt them on and your sorted, twice the fun immediately! Thumbs Up Dan

As far as I know they are under 33bhp as standard.

If I had a 'few hundred' lying around, I would have said fuck to the DR350 and gone straight for the DRZ, wouldn't I? You can get a nice one for about 2k, but i don't have 2k. Besides, I've had a supermoto for a year and want to do more greenlaning on the island. It'll be perfectly suitable for my needs as it is.

And dumping 17 inch wheels on it does not make it a supermoto. It makes it a DR350 with smaller wheels. Changing the brakes, gearing, wheels and tyres, suspension and bars would make it a supermoto. By which point I could have bought a factory yam 426!

However I can see a nice DEP exhaust going on it, they go for about £70-£100 on e-gay.

did you have a look under the frame guards?

could be some dodgy welding under there, or it could just be as it should to prevent rubbing.

nice machine other wise
Identical to the one phoenix hired on holiday colourwise.

enjoy it Thumbs Up

Did you check to see whether it had an offroad frame or not? (Did it have numbers?)

Tounge firmly in cheek.
