payment shipping issue!

OK, Just sold my pc on eBay and my T&C state that any items over the value of £20 that are paid with paypal, require a 3% + 10p to be added to cover the costs.

Well The pc went for £200 and all the person paid was £200, even though auction says it and also my paypal screen says it!

I have emailed the buyer saying that I will ship as soon as funds have cleared (stated) and when I recieve the remainder £6.10.

I have not had a reply or payment.

Should I forget about the £6 or resend the email?

Thought adding the extra was now against Ebay rules (since Ebay own Paypal they want the extra money).

I'd forget about it since you're not allowed to do that, probably best that they don't mention to eBay or PayPal about it. Thumbs Up

yup that is true. Asking for the 3% or whatever it is, is not allowed in the ebay rules.

If you moan about it, 1stly he is likely to contact ebay about you breaching the rules, and 2ndly no doubt you will get neg feedback.

If you want to do this, it's best to not give your paypal address or list it as a payment option, but mention that you do accept paypal on these conditions and request they send you an email asking for a revised total - you can then send an invoice through paypal.

Personally, I don't like the way ebays forces people to use paypal and lies about people's intentions towards it.
