Arai's are generally quite small physically, and are quite round.
Shoei's are similar in size but have a more stretched oval profile.

AGV's are generally alot larger. This is because they use only 1 or 2 shell sizes, whereas shoei and arai (in the more expensive models at least) use between four and six.

The AGV Ti-Tech helmet for example is very large. This is because Rossi, who the helmet was designed for, wanted a larger and slightely heavier helmet for noise and stability/comfort - of course this has followed onto the highstreet version for all our Rossi wannabes.

Personally i dislike the bulky size of the AGV and i find the round shape of Arai's too short in the chin. Shoei's are almost perfect for me.

Hope this is of some help?

kaben Thumbs Up

Shark, Takachi, and HJC(i think Thinking) seemed small to me when i had a gander.

Why do you ask?

I just sent back a AGV S-4 for being like a fecking spaceman’s helmet, the thing was way oversized outer shell wise.

I can remember when my friend used to wear a Simpson Bandit and that was well small and looked very cool, it's just a shame not many places stock them so you could go in try them on.

I would still like to know if others think Simpson helmets are one of the smallest outer-shell wise, or if another make takes the crown Wink

I'm not intending to go out of our atmosphere any time soon.
