Ok so i want to play my PS2 online,

Im having mass trouble with my home network and cant get the internet sharing to work to connect my PS2 to my laptop and work...

So i was wondering, can i fit my free USB Wireless network adapter thing (belkin or netgear) to the USB ports on the PS2 and connect to it that way?

Would putting the driver CD in the ps2 make it possible to install the drivers? I dont realy have a clue but the geek at college today said that it might be possible...

Any help guys?

I'd say it was very unlikely to work (in fact probably impossible).

I'm assuming as your running wireless theres either a wireless access point running or a wireless router. If you have to use wireless your going to need something called a Wireless bridge which were selling for around the £50 odd mark last time I looked.

Basically what this does is connects the PS2's ethernet port to it's port and then communicates with the wireless network.

If you can though use a cable, it's so much easier.

Hmmm, ill try setting the laptop up as a bridge again then and putting the cable back...

I can either get the internet to work on the PS2 or the Lappy, but not both at the same time Sad ill give it a shot now

Ok:

I have plugged in the ethernet cable, and i bridged my wireless usb stick on my laptop with the ethernet cable in the network connections bit.

It came up with a little error saying that an error occured, but the bridge appeared and the internet came back...

So i try and log onto the network from the PS2 and the ethernet cable says "Enabled" and then after a second or two the internet gateway dissapears and the laptop has no internet, and neither does the PS2 until i disable the ethernet cable....

Get a 4 port hub and use ethernet. Really easy and that's how mine is setup. Thumbs Up
