A quick reminder about Barton bike night coming up on the 6th. Officially from 6pm to 10pm but advise getting there sooner than that. It takes over the whole of Barton for the night, 1000s of bikes and bikers of all kinds - you can't miss it.

Barton-on-humber is just south of the humber bridge.

Suggest taking A roads towards the A1077 to Barton. This avoids motorways and if coming from the north paying the humber bridge toll (£1.10 for bikes). Should meet up with a few bikes on the way. If it's fine people in the villages sit out and wave at all the bikes.

Done a quick multimap search - click here for a map of the area.

HTH Thumbs Up

One last bump.
Anyone going tomorrow night?
The weather forecast is for very light showers (see here) but don't let that put you off.

Plus they'll be on the A18 into Scunthorpe hiding in the bushes at the side of the road. It's got two good straight sections so watch out. I know in the past the police have said they'll turn a blind eye to anyone doing up to 80mph (in a NSL) and not doing anything silly/stupid/dangerous. However, don't know if that's policy this year Confused. The camera vans can be unmarked, they normally have one poking out of the side door of a people carrier.

There's also a camera van that normally sits on the M180 before the turn off into Scunthorpe on the M181 (J3 M180). Now, this is a 4* safety rated road (very safe - see figures here - FYI the most dangerous road appear to be the A889 from the A86 to A9, near Dalwhinnie). The stats I can find for the M180 show 1 KSI (killed or seriously injured) from 5 accidents in 1999 to 2001 period. So it would appear this motorway camera is there just to raise money, situated as it is just after a bend (the only real bend on that motorway section Confused).

Barton Bike night site - here https://www.bartonbikenight.co.uk/

As said, should be a good night Very Happy Thumbs Up

Should be going to that, I have been for the last 2 years. My mate Nige also only lives 2 minutes away (well maybe a 5minute stroll).

Didn't get to Barton, weather was crap and I have kiinda fallen out with my bike for a bit (things need sorting and I don't have time/money right now).

Is this actually in the park (as when I looked there was big iron gates locked across the road) or is it meeting up along with all the local chav cars in McDonalds/KFC car park?

He lives near berkley circle. Currently he has a GS500(blue) but he did have a CBR600 last year.

You saw me last year? I presume you recognised the bike Cool or possibly the BCF on my back.

Do you ever go up to foxhills industrial estate for a play on the roundies?

no i dont know him the only nige I know rides a ZXR400 and he has had it a couple of years, but he lives near Berkeley Circle too.

I noticed the bike.... you cant really miss it can you Cool

Yeah some times we go up there, but it gets quite boring when you work there too.

There is a good road for bends from Scotter to Kirton, do you know it?
