or rather it was this morning, it isnt now

its one of those cheapish halfords ones (£25 quid) that is basically a wall plug with a light on, red for charging, green for charged or maintenance charging

i filled a new battery this morning, and plugged it in, red light comes on, all is well

come back a few hours later, the light is out, and there is no sign of life, check the fuse in the charger, its fine, change the leads for the spare set, still nowt, if the battery was fully charged the light would be green

tested the charger in another socket nothing happening, and tried charging the old fucked battery and also nothing happening

the manual is a tiny useless thing, and has no troubleshooting, all it says that the charger wont charge unless it can find 6v across the battery or something, saying in brackets, a serviceable battery should have at least 11v when fully discharged, but surely a brand new battery wouldnt class itself as unserviceable?

im out of ideas, and mightily pissed off, cos once again a simple thing is made complicated by the law according to sod Evil or Very Mad

I had one and it was faulty. Could be the same. Take it back, get your money back and get a decent one. I bought an Oxford optimiser instead from Infinity for just about the same price as it was on offer.
