Hi

Im 26 and have been riding 125's for 8 years. I only use them for commuting and the occasional sunday afternoon ride about. But have come to the point where i want a bit more power.

Now, i am totally confuddled by all the tests available. At 26, do i do a standard test or DAS? If i do a standard am i still restricted to 33bhp at my age? If so, how long does that restriction last?

Any thoughts of cost too? I could probably do with a few lessons to make sure i get rid of all my bad habbits i have picked up and sharpen up on my life savers etc.

Any views / info appreciated Thumbs Up

At 26 you can do your full test, this is done on a "big bike", the test is taken on a bike of more than 46hp. You will then be able to ride any size bike you want. If you've only got a 125 you will need to do some training with an instructor and use their bike. There is no other way round it, you are not allowed on the road without the instructore being there.
Depending on how many sessions you need the cost can be anything from £150 to £300+

You can also do your test on the 125, if you pass then you will be restricted to 33bhp for 2 years.
