My piaggio zip 50cc just suddenly died on the way home the other week.

Heres what ive found out so far. There is petrol getting through as the spark plug is wet. It starts for about 2 seconds then cuts out. I took the spark plug out and rested it on the head and again it sparks for about a second or 2 and then stops sparking. I changed the red coil/engine management thingy but still the same. Ive also changed both the spark plug, HT lead & cap.

Why wont it keep sparking???

Any help very much appreciated

Check that no wires anywhere are earthing against either the frame/engine, as this will "absorb" your spark Smile
