Newish nVdia Drivers not working on Geforce 420 Go!

Hi,

I have a Toshiba 2410-504 laptop with a built in nVidia Geforce 420 Go!

When I try and install new drivers (Forceware) I get this error:

NVIDIA Setup Error
---------------------------
The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit.

OK
---------------------------

Can anyone help?

I've tried installing a different version from laptopvideo2go.com with a modded inf, but this has been causing me problems playing movies (They are juddery) so I gather that I'm not actually getting any graphics accerlation from my card?

Do it by going to "add new hardware" in control pannel then selecting the appropriate .inf or whatever

Thats if it isnt just an exe you downloaded

Yeah it's an exe you download,

It unpacks, then tells me that the card isn't detected.

I could probably kill the process when it halts, leaving the files for me to fuck about with, but I'd rather someone have a legit solution that will get me running on latest ver.

Oh it will if you do it my method, A driver is a driver, if it works it works. If you have problems with it after just find another

some of the newer drivers won't work on older cards, you might have to search for an older release
