Hotels in Northern France?

So, I'm getting my shit together for the ride down to Le Mans next week, I've booked my first night in a Formula 1 hotel in Rouen, but have about 4-5 days before I get to where I'm staying at Le Mans itself.

Big Thumbs Up to McJam who has told me what he and Karen did when they went over a couple of years ago, but I was wondering if any of the other BCF touring massive had done northern france and had any places of interest (it is partly holiday for me, despite the working week!) and nice places to stay?

Thanks in advance peeps!

When you get to your first F1, pick up a booklet. They have maps of where all the F1's are, a small amount have secure parking (indicated in the booklet).

I would take a big chain and attach it to the nearest metal object.

Oh and while cheap, F1's are a bit plasticy, if you're looking at a more cultural tour of Northern France you may want to book into some of the more local family-run hotels, b'nb's etc, prices are cheaper than the UK still.
