at the moment i have a cagiva mito that i have done up ready for when im 17 but ive thought about it and i dont fancy the maintanance costs of it and the cost if i fell off....The thing is i like speed Twisted Evil but only the acceleration factor of it so which is better for acceleration...DT125 or cagiva mito?

thankyou

Well i havnt tried a mito, but ive had 2 DT's

Thjey have good accel and can be fairly quick. my current DT hits 75ish ont he clocks and all ive done is put an open filter and take out 1 out of 3 restrictions. You could also take the bike off road unlike the mito, and its not gona need hundreds of rebuilds liek the mito.

Thumbs Up

DT will be down on top speed, but should accelerate as quick, and be more eager to lift the front wheel. I wouldn't worry about cagiva spares prices, ebay will become your best friend.

I think a full power DT will noticably quicker at least 0-40mph than the Mito. The Mito may be ahead by 60mph though, as the higher gearing is offset somewhat by the much better aerodynamics, and the fact that the Mito engine does have quite a bit more power when de-restricted! The DT if properly de-restricted will have about 20-22bhp at the back wheel. The Mito should be closer to 28-29bhp. The DT is lighter, by maybe 10kg or so though.

Round town id expect the DT to be easily faster, but get onto an open road or acclerate up to 60-70mph+ and the Mito should have pulled ahead by then!

either of them with the restrictors out will be

fast, fast, fast, fast BANG!!!

Personally i would say a DT, as said before you come off it and you usually can pick it up and go. Mitos have plastics and the bike will look shite once they'd been down the road

Cagiva supercity.

The crashability of a DT with the power and (almost) the speed of a Mito.

The consumables are the same as the mito, so no probs getting parts.

95MPH on a supercity looks less stretched than 95mph on a mito.

i would say mito. 7 speed manual. i mean if my nsr is fast i mean how fast can a mito go? i dont like dt's coz they r like an off road bike but for on road use Rolling Eyes now wots the point when u got sports bikes? lol
na but the point is i think the dt would be cheaper 2 run like engine repairs and for pannels as there harldy any on them.

However, you will feel the wind on a naked bike at that speed if you're a scrawny lanky streak of p!ss like me.

Whats your budget on the bike? DTs seem to hold their value better, but i'm not sure what they're like on insurance. Cagiva bikes are filthy cheap on insurance for some reason, less than 1/3rd of what i was quoted on an RS125.

The difference between the NSR, RS and Mito speed wise is all of about 7mph, hardly enough to go shouting about, i have an NSR but its quick enough for me, and I dont need speed really because most of my riding is through towns.

One thing you will learn is that the more times you do the indicated 100+ speeds on those three bikes the more boring it gets.

Now going round a corner at 50-60 and hitting it perfectly gives more of a buzz than a straightline speed.

Just my oppinion.

BTW, Mito looks good, Mini Duke.
